  • Opinion: Email to Baruch College about interacting with students.

    Greetings Professor,

First and foremost, I treat everyone at Baruch College with the utmost respect at all times. That includes professors, staff, security guards, and students. Treating people respectfully is more important than anything.

I understand that everyone is doing their best and CUNY is a great school.

Everything you’re saying makes perfect sense. I respect and understand your position.

I believe that my point of view is compelling as well.

    1. This is my situation. There are some students, including me, that are not allowed to choose their classes at the same time as other students. The students in my category have to wait 3 days after other students choose the classes they want.

By the time I’m allowed to choose the classes I want, a lot of them are already filled up. Therefore I am very limited with the classes that are available now.

    2. I have had several students at Baruch College and LaGuardia Community College single me out, insult me, and yell at me for reasons that I don’t know.

I never partake in controversial conversations at school. I also have no idea who any of the students are.

I did not respond. I reported the students to security and they told me the video cameras were broken. I was also told not to contact security again.

    3. I am in the process of speaking with City Council offices and other city/government agencies to try and be excused from having to get into groups with students.

The process is going to take time. It’s not going to happen by this semester.

    4. There are thousands of complaints from students against students and students against professors and staff in New York every year including several at CUNY.

In addition to many people who are banned from CUNY, I think there are some facing criminal charges.

I can’t even believe the number of complaints is as high as it is but it’s true.

There have even been professors and staff from CUNY quoted in the mainstream press about the alarmingly high number of complaints from students against students and students against professors and staff.

There have been mainstream media coverage of issues between students at Baruch College that I’m not going to name here out of respect for the victims.

Just to let you know a little bit about me. If someone poured a can of paint on my head at Baruch College or CUNY I would not say a word.

I love Baruch College. It’s the best opportunity ever. Baruch College has opened doors for me.

As I mentioned in a previous email I have been living in the street homeless for 5 years. I don’t like the shelters. I hope with the inspiration provided by Baruch College that I have a roof over my head one day soon.

So far at LaGuardia Community College, I had a 3.975 GPA with 36 credits. Clearly, I was not disruptive, I was a model student.

At Baruch College last semester I earned a 4.0 GPA with 12 credits. I believe my professors would say I was a positive contribution to my classes. With that being said I did not interact with any students.

    I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t party. I don’t do anything illegal. I don’t have a criminal record. I have places to shower and keep clean clothes.

I’ll be respectful to everyone as I always am. If you have to give me an F for keeping to myself I understand. I don’t take it personally.

On Rate My Professors all the students say you’re as good as it gets. That’s why I’m excited to take your class, even if it earns me an F and it’s the last class I take because I failed out of Baruch College.

I’d prefer to fail out of school because of a grade than having a student make up lies about me for unknown reasons.

One time at LaGuardia Community College I was in a classroom with a security camera. A student stands up in the middle of class and starts yelling at me.

I have no idea who the person is. I picked up my things and moved to the other side of the room. If I had any interaction with the student in a student group or any conversation the student could have made up any lie they want about me and it would be their word against a 45-year-old homeless person.

Another time at Baruch College a student started insulting me during a Zoom class. I ignored the person.

I didn’t even have a laptop when I started at LaGuardia Community College, I was living in the street, and I earned all As.

If a student asks me a question in your class I will respectfully say I don’t know and go back to minding my business.

I’m confident there are a lot of CUNY parents that would not want their children breaking into groups with 45-year-old homeless people who live in the street.

I mostly sleep on subway platforms. I’m going to avoid sleeping anywhere near Baruch College so no one from there sees me. Sometimes I sleep on the steps at the 77 St subway and places like that. Not 68 St because that’s Hunter College :-)

I promise I have never, nor will I ever be disruptive. If you have to fail me I respect your decision.

I did interact with students when I was working at the LaGuardia Community College library. I never had any issues. There were security cameras and I was helping students print their essays.

This is a tiny fraction of the articles about this topic. There is a CUNY Professor quoted in the first article. I would contact him and thank him but they told me I’m not allowed so I’m not.

Let’s say I’m talking with a student in class. A few weeks later I run into the student in the subway or the student sees me sleeping on the floor in the subway or something like that. Let’s say the student says I think that homeless guy from my class is following me.

What’s going to happen to me?

Who is going to stand up for me?

CUNY is spending millions of dollars for lawyers right now to defend teachers and staff from student accusations. It’s public information.

Anyone can say what they want about me. I’m respectful but I’m not interacting with students unless it’s to respectfully say I don’t know or I’m working for RF CUNY the HRA job program at Baruch Collge.

One thing about me is I am never disruptive and I’m never disrespectful.

I like people. I’m a people person. I’m just not socializing with students at Baruch College when there are thousands of complaints from students against students and students against professors and staff every year at New York colleges.

In regards to participating in class, I love to participate in class, with the teacher.

I used to provide web marketing services to companies for about $1,000 per month for each customer.

I came across people all the time who needed my help but didn’t have the money. I helped dozens of people without charging them.

My goal in life is to be happy, successful, and have a positive impact on my community. I’m not going to get from homeless to that position by partaking in risky behavior.

It’s clear that at New York colleges, everyone needs to move cautiously because there are thousands of people connected with New York Colleges, that have to fend off complaints every year.

Baruch College is all I have so I have to protect it.

Thank you and have a great day.

  • Opinion: Message to Baruch College about yet another student trying to pick a fight with me.

    Greetings Baruch College,

A student wrote something negative about me in a class chat.

I have no idea who the student is.

    I don’t know the student’s name.

    I quickly glanced at it.

I ignored it as always. I can care less if a student pours a can of paint on my head, I’m not going to react.

I can care less if a student walks up to me in school and does anything to me I’m not going to react.

This is why I’m respectfully suing Baruch College to try and be excused from having to interact with students. I love Baruch College, there is no animosity attached to the lawsuit.

There is no other way to be excused from having to interact with students besides the courts. I’m not mentioning the lawsuit to any of my professors.

It’s not fair to have to keep taking abuse from students without at least trying to protect my privacy.

The only exception is if I go back to work for RF CUNY in the library. Hopefully, there are security cameras in the library. The RF CUNY money is too good to turn down, plus it’s mandatory from HRA.

I keep having students, since LaGuardia Community College, that I have no idea who they are, that I never said one word to, trying to pick fights with me. I ignore them all.

People I know pay the NYPD and their civilian team to physically attack me, sabotage me, ambush me, steal and destroy my property regularly including yesterday. I don’t react to the NYPD and their vicious civilian team. I’m certainly not reacting to anyone at Baruch College trying to pick a fight with me.

Again, I’m not taking a screen picture of the person talking about me in the class chat because I don’t want any record of the person’s name.

I can care less. The worst thing I can do to people trying to pick fights with me is to ignore them.

You told me to deal with you and you only about these types of situations.

There has never been one person who named someone else in the chat in any of my zoom classes to try and start an argument besides this one person, that I have no clue who it is, against me.

The professor asked for our opinions about a topic. I gave a completely noncontroversial answer like always. The next person starts writing that I’m wrong and mentioning me by name in the chat which is totally inappropriate. They could just give their opinion, they didn’t have to mention me.

I don’t want to jinx it but I’m doing amazing this semester. I don’t care if I get all C’s but with a little luck I might end up on the Dean’s List.

Thank you and have a great day.

  • Opinion: Email to the Baruch College help desk about someone calling me ten times in a row from school today.

    Greetings,

I love Baruch College, it’s the best opportunity ever. Everything is going amazing at school. My professors and the support staff, including the help desk, are stellar.

Someone called me from Baruch College ten times today. It’s no big deal I just wanted to know if that was normal?

I never pick up my phone, so I don’t know who it was. Also, I asked my phone company to disconnect my voicemail. They didn’t disconnect my voicemail, they just locked me out of my voicemail. LOL 🙂

    Please advise.

Thank you and have a great day.

  • Email to Baruch College about tuition and financial aid.

    Greetings,

First of all, I love Baruch College and CUNY. I’m having the best time ever.

My professors are amazing. The support staff is amazing. Baruch College CUNY is the best opportunity ever.

I finished almost all my schoolwork for the Fall 2021 semester about a month early. College is my number one priority.

I’m not sure who I’m supposed to contact about the tuition that I owe, so I’m contacting the three offices. Please let me know if there is anyone else I should contact about this matter.

I’m signed up for two classes this summer 2021. The online Baruch College website says I owe $459 for summer 2021 in addition to my financial aid.

If I drop one of the summer classes and only take one class this summer, would that lower the amount of money I have to pay to attend Baruch College this summer?

If yes, I’ll drop one summer class and only take one class this summer instead of two.

Depending on how much I will have to pay to attend summer 2021 classes, I might not take any classes this summer.

It all depends on what the Department of Social Services / Human Resources Administration requires.

Please let me know if dropping one class and only taking one class this summer will lower the money owed when you can. Thank you:-)

If taking one class this summer isn’t included in my financial aid, I might take the summer off. I’ll make the decision after speaking with HRA and seeing what the cost is to take one class this summer instead of two.

The online Baruch College website says I owe $283 for Fall 2021. Can I pay that amount out of my Fall 2021 student loan refund? Or do I have to pay it before the semester starts?

If I’m allowed, I’ll pay the balance due for fall 2021 out of my Fall 2021 student loan refund. If I’m required to pay the balance before then, I’ll pay for the fall in the next few weeks.

    Please advise.

Thank you and have a great day.

  • Email to the New York FBI, NYPD Headquarters, and New York County District Attorney about people remotely going into my smartphone.

    Greetings,

Today I was in Central Park for a class. I broke my arm a few weeks ago and I had to go to the doctor today. I also had a wisdom tooth taken out this week. I was very tired.

While I was listening to the class today the sun knocked me out for a few minutes.

When I woke up someone had remotely gone into my Zoom account and turned on my microphone and camera. The phone was in the grass at Central Park.

I just don’t understand why someone is going into my phone remotely. This has happened several times.

Please advise if you have any advice for me.

Thank you and have a great day.

  • Opinion: Email to Baruch College about the NYPD paying civilians to harass me.

    Greetings Baruch College,

I always treat everyone at Baruch College with the utmost respect at all times. That includes staff, professors, and students. Treating people respectfully is more important than anything. I love Baruch College and The City University of New York. It’s the best opportunity ever.

Rich people I know are paying New York City law enforcement and their civilian team to harass me. There is absolutely nothing anyone at CUNY can do to help me.

I never mention a word of this to anyone at Baruch College.

I never get involved in conversations about controversial topics in my classes.

On Friday, I visited the Civilian Complaint Review Board at 100 Church Street in New York City (attached). I would like to alert Baruch College why I was there.

Before I get started, as I stated in my last message to you, I am one thousand percent following the guidelines you laid out for me regarding the chain of command at Baruch College.

You’re the only person I’m contacting at Baruch College and CUNY about people I know paying the NYPD and their civilian team to physically attack me, rob me, destroy my property, have teenage girls follow me around and pretend they are under attack, have women and men pick fights with me in stores, make up any lie they can to have me kicked out of Baruch College, throw dirt and garbage bags at me, etc.

The NYPD hatched a plan to quietly have me thrown in jail in Nassau County Long Island. The Nassau County Police arrested me last year and I have been defending myself in court ever since.

The first thing I did was respectfully alert the court that I would be representing myself. I politely told everyone, I’m passing on the public defenders.

Next, I let everyone know that we would be having a judge or bench trial. The police and their civilian team have bragged to me that they can supply the jury in cases that are important to them.

The evidence that the police had in my criminal case was audio of me from years ago, recorded while the police and their civilian team were physically attacking me, that ultimately sent me to the emergency room at hospitals several times.

The NYPD and their civilian team physically attacked me today. They also broke my arm and ribs.

The NYPD and Nassau County Police edited the audio they have while attacking me into conversations. Then they called people from a phone that they bought, with the edited conversations.

That’s what billions of dollars and not enough oversight buys.

I won the case. I still have zero criminal record at 44 years young. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t party. I don’t date. I don’t do anything illegal. I treat everyone respectfully. Even the people that get paid by the police to harass me.

After what the police put me through dating is out of the question. It wouldn’t matter if I was dating women, men, etc. The NYPD would torture the person. When I’m no longer homeless, I’ll buy pets.

Cointelpro is a series of negative coincidences. That’s US law enforcements bread and butter. For example, something negative happens to me off-campus that coincidentally involves a student, staff member, or professor from Baruch College.

Or there is some phone call that is taken out of context. For example, the NYPD has civilians who don’t even work for the police pick up government phones and pretend they work for the police. Then they have the people try and pick fights with me on the phone.

I had a 3.975 GPA after 36 credits at LaGuardia Community College. I was considered an honor student and was on the Dean’s List. So far I’m doing well at Baruch College and loving it.

According to the NYPD I’m smart enough to earn those grades but dumb enough to jeopardize the best opportunity for me in the city (CUNY).

I’m a New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker and I’m a web marketing professional.

The NYPD and their civilian team immediately approach individuals who are considering doing business with me and tell them not to work with me.

The NYPD and their civilian team have sabotaged hundreds of real estate and web marketing deals of mine on a conservative estimate.

The NYPD and their civilian team went into overdrive harassing me since I won the criminal case.

    For example:

    1. People followed me into X store next to the Baruch College campus last Friday. They were trying to pick a fight with me, cutting me in line, the usual NYPD civilian team scams.
    2. Individuals who work for the police followed me into a supermarket a few blocks away from campus and were cutting me in line, harassing me, shoving their hands in my face, and someone threw an unlit cigarette at me.
    3. Next, I was walking on East 34th Street and 3rd Avenue in New York City last Friday. A teenage girl wearing spandex and a short shirt ran in front of me so I would stop video recording the city with my phone. I do video tours of New York City with my smartphone for social media.

I stopped recording. Then in front of a store on East 34th Street and 3rd Avenue in New York City a girl wearing a very short skirt, also a teenager, started taking pictures or videos of me while acting like she was under attack. The NYPD has ambushed me like that so many times I can’t put a number on it.

Why am I reporting this to you? It’s less than 10 blocks from Baruch College. Also, the people the NYPD are using to harass me are in their teens and twenties. College age.

The NYPD or anyone can make up any lie about me that they want. The difference now is that I just beat a fabricated case that proves the police are trying to set me up.

The criminal case I just won also shows the types of scams that law enforcement is using against people.

There was no victim in my criminal case. The Nassau County Police said they were the victim.

The Nassau County Police said that when the NCPD and their civilian team were harassing me and I called to report it, the calls were illegal.

One time police officers from the NCPD 6th Precinct met me in the street. We had a nice conversation. Eveyone was respectful to each other.

For them to turn around and say they were a victim to me is absurd.

The criminal case was the Nassau County Police, NYPD, and the Nassau County District Attorney vs me.

They all have almost unlimited money and resources. I have nothing. I represented myself and beat the case.

I also stayed on top of all my schoolwork while this was going on.

There are a few public places I can charge my laptop and phone.

One of the places I charge my devices all the time is Murray Hill Mews Public Plaza on East 37th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan.

I’m at the Murray Hills Mews Public Plaza 7 days a week.

I also charge my devices in Long Island City. There is a library by the water with outdoor outlets.

The only issue with LIC is the NYPD has so many girls who work for them harass me on the subways over there it’s ridiculous. By the time I get there, I’m ready to take a nap.

It’s doubtful that the NYPD is going to arrest me again and have me beat two cases in a row. Eventually, the press and social media are going to find out what the NYPD is doing to me.

I’m already getting thousands of hits on the internet exposing the police for what they are doing to me. It’s only a matter of time before someone comes out of the woodwork and puts an end to the NYPD abusing me.

Instead of arresting me, the NYPD will keep coming at me with one scam after the next. For example, I have been calling NYPD 911 dozens of times per day while the NYPD and their civilian team have been harassing me around the clock.

I’m not mentioning this to anyone else.

    1. A student started yelling at me for no reason at LaGuardia Community College in a classroom with a security camera. I contacted security and they said the camera was broken. Then someone went into my email that is on double verification and erased the emails. I did not react at all. I don’t care if a student punches me in the face I will not react. I’ll just email you and maybe the police.
    2. A student was harassing me right in front of the doors at BMCC. I contacted everyone over there and no one responded. I went to the public safety office and they never followed up. I did not react at all to the student that was harassing me for no reason.
    3. A female student grabbed me around the waist at LaGuardia in front of security cameras. I ran away. I didn’t report that one right away, because I was new at school and I was already dealing with so much drama from the police I’m used to it.
    4. There have been other instances but I only mention the ones that are caught on video.

I’m about to file a lawsuit against the NYPD. I’ve already gone through the process with the New York City Comptroller’s office. I had a hearing with an attorney for New York City and I approved the transcript.

All I have to do is file the NYPD lawsuit with the court at 60 Centre Street.

The NYPD and the people I grew up with that pay them to sabotage people are trying to get me thrown out of Baruch College. That is their number one plan right now.

I went to the Civilian Complaint review board yesterday. The CCRB investigator told me she would refer my case to NYPD Internal Affairs. I have been in contact with NYPD Internal Affairs since 2015. They are not helping me at all.

The main point of this email is that the NYPD has teenagers harassing me within blocks of Baruch College.

The NYPD has billions of dollars a year to play with. This is one of the ways they spend the money.

This is why I keep to myself at school. I treat all staff and professors with the utmost respect at all times. I keep to myself in regards to students.

The times I have interacted with students I was respectful and concise. I don’t get into any personal conversations with students or anyone at school.

I used to work at the library at LaGuardia Community College. I would help students print their homework to give to their professors.

I have the utmost respect for the job you are doing at Baruch College.

I have the utmost respect for everyone at Baruch College including staff, professors, students, etc.

I’m walking on eggshells until I have enough money where the police can’t just wipe the floor with me every day and I can legally sue and expose them for what they are doing to me and many others.

Thank you and have a great day.

    Ever upward,

    Mark Pine

  • The NYPD and their civilian team are looking for any lie to get me kicked out of Baruch College. 4/20/2021

I was told by Baruch College that we were allowed to pick our Fall 2021 classes on April 5th, 2021. I believe that was the date, I’m not sure.

All I know is when I went to pick my classes the online system at Baruch College wouldn’t allow me to sign up for classes. I politely and respectfully contacted the staff at Baruch College and asked what was wrong.

The staff at Baruch College told me that only certain students can pick their Fall 2021 classes on April 5, 2021. They said I would have to wait for three days until the other students were done choosing which classes they wanted first.

Three days later when I went to choose my classes the majority of online classes I wanted to sign up for were already filled by the students who were given early access to choose the classes they wanted.

That means I’m going to be on campus at Baruch College during Fall 2021.

I’m writing this quickly because I have a 12-page essay due soon and a bunch of other homework.

People I know pay the NYPD and their civilian team to torture me, attack me, rob me, destroy my property, follow me into stores and pick fights with me, and run every cointelpro ambush and scam on me that was ever created since the 1960s.

The NYPD blocked my phone number from calling any NYPD precinct, NYPD headquarters, NYPD internal affairs, New York FBI, US Attorney in Westchester, etc.

People I know have paid the NYPD and their civilian team to have me kicked out of Baruch College.

This is how they are going to try and do it.

    1. The NYPD and their civilian team are going to have people crash into me, cut me off, try to start arguments with me, etc. anytime I’m anywhere near Baruch College. They started doing it already.
    2. The NYPD and going to have girls cut me off, crash into me, etc. over and over to try and obtain video or photos that make it seem like I’m doing something wrong.
    3. The NYPD and their civilian team are going to take audio they have of me from years of physically attacking me and say I said something nasty to someone at Baruch College. The NYPD has a budget in the billions of dollars. They will edit audio conversations to get innocent people in trouble. They also edit videos to get innocent people in trouble.
    4. The NYPD is going to try and have Baruch College take away my college email and erase all the evidence out of it.

If you Google cointelpro those are the exact same scams that the NYPD runs all day every day in New York City.

I’ve decided that respectfully it would be best to 100% avoid any communication with students at Baruch College. I respectfully notified my professors that if I have to have my grades reduced I understand.

There are thousands of complaints from students about students every year in New York colleges. Also, I have had several students try and pick fights with me at CUNY already. I ignored them all. Needless to say, I treat all my professors with the utmost respect at all times. If I said or emailed one word to a professor or staff at Baruch College or CUNY that wasn’t one hundred percent respectful, I would be out of college in one second flat.

The NYPD and their civilian team are harassing me as I write this post.

  • Opinion: Respectful email to Baruch College about the NYPD and their civilian team torturing and sabotaging me.

There are no names or identifying information in this post. The NYPD and their civilian team will probably update the post later to sabotage me because all they do is lie and scam. That’s their job. Google “cointelpro” if you would like to learn more about it.

    Greetings,

I always treat everyone at Baruch College with the utmost respect at all times. That includes staff, professors, students, and security guards. Treating people respectfully is more important than anything. I love Baruch College and The City University of New York. It’s the best opportunity ever.

Any time I interact with you or anyone at CUNY I will treat you and everyone else with the absolute utmost respect and courtesy.

I’m 100% not contacting anyone at CUNY about the NYPD and their civilian team torturing and sabotaging me.

What are the rules moving forward? If I have an issue that I would respectfully like to bring up via email should I contact your email, X’s email, or neither?

Going forward I’m only going to contact agencies outside of CUNY looking for help with the police torturing and sabotaging me. I have no issue with that. The higher-ups at CUNY know that I’m claiming the NYPD and their civilian team are torturing me, there is no reason to contact them again about it.

I plan on applying to CUNY graduate school after I graduate from Baruch College. Am I allowed to mention to the CUNY graduate schools that they will probably be receiving negative emails or messages on social media from my email accounts courtesy of the NYPD and their civilian team to sabotage me from attending CUNY graduate school?

The NYPD and their civilian team have been running scams like that on me for years.

Or am I not allowed to mention that to CUNY graduate school admissions?

The NYPD and their civilian team can go into any one of my accounts, send one nasty email, and I’m blocked from attending CUNY graduate schools which in my opinion are the best graduate schools in New York City.

Also, I love CUNY. I have the utmost respect for you, the entire CUNY staff, the professors, and the students.

What I am about to tell you next does not mean that I don’t love and respect CUNY because I do.

I have started the process to sue Baruch College.

There is no animosity attached to this lawsuit. I merely don’t see any other way to try and figure a few things out without a third party involved, in this case, the New York Courts.

    I’m suing for three reasons.

    1. I want to be excused from having to get into small groups with students.
    2. I don’t understand why certain students are allowed to pick their classes three days before other students. Then when I go to select my classes the majority of the classes I want to take are full.
    3. I would like to respectfully challenge having a negative letter on my permanent record because I respectfully emailed two public safety offices, the President of Baruch College, and the Chancellor at CUNY.

I’m patiently waiting for your response.

All my professors are amazing. I told them I would gladly accept any reduction in my grade that they see fit because I’m respectfully avoiding small groups with students.

Thank God they all said it’s OK because I don’t want to fail a class. That doesn’t mean I will continue to be so lucky in the future which is why I want to see what the New York Courts think about the student groups issue.

Thank you and have a great day.

  • Email to Baruch College about access to study materials and being harassed.

    Greetings,

First and foremost I treat everyone at Baruch College CUNY with the utmost respect at all times, regardless if I get my way or not. That includes students, professors, and staff.

I love Baruch College. My professors are amazing. It’s the best opportunity for me.

The professor of the above class isn’t sharing the slides with the students. That’s fine. I can screen picture the slides as they pop up. The professor is great, that’s not the obstacle.

The issue is that people I know harass me beyond belief outside of school. They break my laptops, steal my phones, rip my clothes, attack me, go into all my email and social media accounts, and wreak havoc.

I can produce police reports where they take my debit card and steal my money. I can also show police reports where I have been robbed multiple times. Additionally, I have been denied police reports dozens of times by the NYPD.

I have been to NYC hospital emergency rooms dozens of times after being attacked. Thank God for welfare health insurance or I would owe hundreds of thousands of dollars. I’m sure the taxpayers are thrilled.

Even with all this, I have an optimistic attitude. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t party. I don’t do anything illegal. I’m confident if I stay on the right track everything will improve.

I understand there is probably nothing anyone at the school can do to help. All I’m saying is if I have the slides I will study them.

If people go into my Google Photos, laptop, email, etc, and erase the slides I can’t study. I’ll still pass but I won’t have a chance to earn an A or B.

I have contacted the New York FBI, NYPD, Department of Investigations, the Civilian Complaint Review Board, NYPD Internal Affairs, and others. They have not helped me at all.

The only one who helped was the New York City Comptroller’s Office. Albeit, it’s a slow process and the harassment continues.

I wouldn’t go back to a homeless shelter if the city offered me ten million dollars a night to sleep there so that’s not an option. I’m lucky I made it out of the last homeless shelter in one piece. I’m not trying to press my luck.

Furthermore, because I’m homeless it’s impossible to fully secure my possessions.

Please advise if you have any ideas for me.

Thank you and have a great day.

    Ever upward,

    Mark Pine

  • Message to a Baruch College staff member about class groups.

    Greetings,

I treat everyone at CUNY with the utmost respect at all times. That includes you, students, staff, and professors.

I think you are great at what you do. I have the utmost respect for your position. It’s almost impossible to land jobs with the city as you have.

I’m trying to avoid having to interact with students. If my request is rejected, I will treat all the students in my class groups with the utmost respect and professionalism. I’ll be concise, just as I behave myself with you and the entire staff at CUNY.

There are thousands of complaints by students about students every year in New York colleges. That means there are a lot of students harassing students. I’ve reported students for harassing me at LaGuardia Community College.

If people realized what a big problem students interacting with students is, it would quickly be optional to break into class groups at college. I predict that it will become an option to get into class groups at some colleges in the next few years.

You told me it’s mandatory to get into class groups. That includes one on one unsupervised Zoom calls with students.

I respect your decision. I respect you. I love CUNY. I merely disagree with this one policy.

There is a small group of students at CUNY who are here to cause trouble. I’m trying to avoid it.

I might be homeless, but I live squeaky clean. I’m rebranding myself, Mark “squeaky clean” Pine.

I efiled my 2020 Federal tax return to the IRS in February. I’m about to mail the IRS a paper copy of my 2020 Federal tax return tomorrow as a backup just in case there is an issue with the efile.

That’s the squeaky-clean lifestyle I’m detailing. I file my taxes in February. I do it like that every year.

    I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t party. I don’t interact socially with anyone at school.

I would never get on the phone with a student at college. I’d rather network outside of school so I don’t have to be concerned about issues that can lead back to school.

For example, the famous saying, don’t X where you eat. Now, after a year at school, it’s mandatory to get on the phone with students.

I started at CUNY broke, homeless, and without a computer. I believe I’m going to have a roof over my head one day soon. I can’t do it without the support of CUNY.

It’s not going to happen if I have students making unsubstantiated claims against me because I’m forced into class groups.

I respect your position. I appreciate everything you say. I’m looking for someone in New York / New York City who will change the policy. I’m going to contact the Manhattan Borough President, the City Council, and others.

I can not understand how thousands of complaints per year doesn’t lead to a change in policy.

Thank you again for the consideration. I hope to make you proud one day :-)

I want you to say, this guy was living in the street, and now he’s in an apartment thanks to LaGuardia Community College, Baruch College, and The City University of New York. Hopefully, the journalism graduate school or CUNY law too.

Thank you and have a great day.

    Ever upward,

    Mark Pine
