When I have the money to buy a luxury home in New York City, one building I will be taking a close look at is 220 Central Park South (220 Central Park South on Wikipedia). The condo was developed by Vornado Realty Trust (220 Central Park South on the Vornado Realty Trust website). According to the Vornado Realty Trust website, the development consists of an 18-story villa and 79-story tower. The condo was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects (Robert A.M. Stern website projects page) and The Office of Thierry W. Despont. The exterior is made with Alabama Silver Shadow limestone.
This is one of my favorite locations in New York City. You have Central Park across the street. I like to visit the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, and downtown. In my opinion, this is a good starting out location. Of course, it all depends on the traffic, time of day, and things like that. If you are interested in buying you can do a few test runs using your preferred method of transportation.
The building includes private dining rooms, entertaining spaces, plus an athletic club and spa. The most enticing part of the listing for me is when the Vornado Realty Trust website mentions, “a secured off-street motor court with its arbor of mature trees.” That will be good for me when I’m rolling in and out in my bullet-resistant vehicles.
There is a lot of additional information about 220 Central Park South on the Internet. Out of respect for the tenants and developer, I’m going to stick to the facts I find on the Vornado Realty Trust website. Obviously, you are free to Google the building if you like and find numerous articles.
I have included two videos I found on YouTube about 220 Central Park South from the channel of real estate agent Ryan Sherman (Ryan Sherman YouTube). The videos show the exterior and interior of two units. There is a bathtub looking over Central Park. The living room has large windows facing directly into Central Park.

If you are interested in purchasing a unit at 220 Central Park South do your own research. I’m just in innocent blogger and vlogger creating interesting articles from the information I find on the Internet. Please no class action lawsuits. I’ll never be able to afford a condo and bullet resistant vehicle with former law enforcement to drive me around if I have to defend lawsuits.
