Greetings Baruch College,
I always treat everyone at Baruch College politely, respectfully, and professionally no matter what.
I just wanted to follow up because once this situation reaches October 2025 I’m back in the welfare job program January 2025 because I’m not going to be able to sign up for Spring 2026 classes and I’m going to get locked out of the classes I need to graduate.
If you say no or don’t respond I 100% will NOT contact the Chancellor or President.
I would also like to contact the Weissman Dean too.
I will send you an email that you can approve before I send it.
I would like to let them know my situation just in case there is any way for me to graduate.
I’m going to end up with four classes left and around $6,000 short after Fall 2025.
My GPA is 3.7 with six classes left living in the street homeless the entire time.
It should be a 3.8 as stated below.
Not in a shelter. Not at a friends. Not at my parents. In the street on public assistance.
Albeit I stick to rich neighborhoods because it’s safer, nonetheless I’d rather be in an apartment than sleeping in a subway platform on the steps in Tribeca at Franklin St in 20 degrees.
If by some miracle I get a scholarship for $2,000 which I don’t think is going to happen that will buy me one more semester, still not enough to graduate.
I have some options although from my experience here I suspect in the blink of an eye it’s going to be October/November 2025 and the parties over, back to the welfare job program in January 2025.
Who knows the welfare job program may open its own doors and I think it will.
Personally, I’d rather skip the welfare job program if possible and go from CUNY to making money.
I just want to make my case to the Chancellor, President, and Weissman Deans office.
I would like last semester Spring 2025 to be refunded and applied towards future classes.
If it’s not possible, it’s not possible.
It doesn’t hurt to polietly and respectfully ask.
Maybe there is another way to pay.
That’s what I’d like to know.
If Fall 2025 is my last semester and I’m not going to graduate, I’ll make the best of that situation too.
I think people would be surprised about the decision not to allow me to drop or withdraw from Spring 2025 if they saw the medical documents I presented, my grades, and my situation.
People don’t even know that homeless people in school and with jobs exist.
Anytime homeless people are presented anywhere it’s the drug addicts, alcoholics, etc.
Regardless what you decide I respect everything everyone here has done for me.
I’m just trying to figure out a way to graduate.
Of course, I’ve had so many medical visits since the September 2025 semester has been over, I lost count.
Mostly from people blowing drug smoke in my face and harassing me as usual.
That’s why I figured out to drop down to two classes Fall 2025, two class Spring 2026, and two classes either Summer 2026 or Fall 2026.
Now that I figured out the strategy about how to graduate dealing with being homeless and harassed constantly, I’m trying to figure out how to fund it.
At some point in October or November 2025 every class I need to graduate is going to be filled.
I make the best out of all situations.
It’s all going to work out.
If I’m not proactive now there is no way I’m going to graduate.
Please advise.
Mark
