Greetings Baruch College,
I always treat everyone at Baruch College politely and respectfully no matter what.
I would like to get all the money back from my Spring 2025 semester.
It all was paid by FAFSA.
I’ll have the documents sent over to you this week or next week latest.
I tried to drop my whole Spring 2025 semester with the Dean of Students office and they said no.
The Dean of Students office said I need to get a letter from my Medicaid doctor that I couldn’t get.
Then I tried to drop my Spring 2025 semester with the Associate Dean Weissman and they said no. I’m not sure why they said no.
I have one more appeal with the Associate Dean Weissman in September.
If I have to wait for that answer to request a tuition appeal please let me know.
The only issue with that is if I wait too long I’m going to get shut out of my Spring 2026 classes.
I have a massive number of medical visits (emergency room and urgent care) and NYPD police reports with me as the victim being robbed and harassed, all during the Spring 2025 semester.
My GPA was a 3.8 at the beginning of the Spring 2025 semester.
After I wasn’t allowed to drop the Spring 2025 semester, I did my best to salvage it and received a 3.4 GPA. My lowest GPA for any semester at CUNY.
That’s why my GPA lowered to 3.7.
I’ve been issued more than 30 NYPD police reports with me as the victim since I started at CUNY.
I was issued a few NYPD police reports during the Spring 2025 semester. I have copies of them all.
I suspect I’ve been robbed more than any current CUNY student, definitely top 10.
For example, stolen clothes, phones, tablets, laptops, backpacks, etc.
My mobile phone was stolen 6 separate times in 2023.
My phone has been stolen more than 10 times since I started at CUNY.
I’ve had so many laptops stolen I lost count.
Same thing with clothes, phone batteries, etc.
I have a 3.7 GPA with 6 classes left to graduate.
I’ve been living in the street for the last ten years on welfare.
I don’t have a criminal record.
I don’t do anything illegal.
I’m just living on public assistance with bad credit.
People I know are constantly harassing me without any legitimate reason outside of school and that has led to millions of dollars in emergency room and urgent care visits since I started at CUNY including more than ten emergency room visits during Spring 2025.
I’ve been to urgent cares and emergency rooms for the same reason so many times this summer so far I lost count.
There are a lot of normal homeless people like me, we’re just never publicized.
Anytime people see homeless on the news or social media they show drug addicts, alcoholics, and people breaking the law.
All my financial aid ran out and I can’t graduate.
I respect everyone’s decision, I just don’t understand why CUNY wouldn’t want to help me graduate considering my situation.
My plan is to use the money I receive back to take two classes during Fall 2025, two classes during Spring 2026, and two classes during Fall 2026.
That way no matter how much I’m harassed and however many medical visits I can still manage my studies.
Then I would like to attend CUNY graduate school.
Worst case scenario I can take the two Fall 2025 classes and then I’ll have to leave school.
I’ll have four classes left to graduate and that will be it.
I never mention any of this negative stuff to professors or students at Baruch College.
I just want to clearly make my case here so everyone involved with dropping classes and appeals knows how I landed in this situation.
Please advise with any information you can.
Thank you and have a great day.
