State and local politicians are extremely powerful and hardly anyone is voting.

OK, this is my opinion.

Use this information at your own risk.

Verify everything yourself.

I’ve recently discovered this issue and I’m at the beginning of my research.

I’m sharing a little bit about the topic now.

A very small percentage of Americans are voting in local elections.

Everyone is excited about the presidential election.

That’s excellent.

If you think your city isn’t running as good as it can be, then I ask, have you voted for your local politicians?

Let’s use Manhattan or New York City as an example.

You can substitute NYC for your location.

How many New York City Council members have you voted for recently?

Did you vote for New York City public advocate?

Did you vote for Manhattan Borough President?

How many New York City Council members can you name?

Have you ever thought about running for public office?

Why not?

Did you vote for New York Assembly, New York Senate, United States Senate, House of Representatives, Manhattan Borough President, Public Advocate, etc.?

State and local politicians are responsible for more than a trillion dollars per year.

Do you think they are spending the money wisely?

I used to think the solution to get more people voting locally was online voting on our laptops, phones, and tablets.

I still do.

Another solution is to have state and local elections on the same day as the presidential election.

That will get a lot more people voting.

If state and local elections aren’t on the same day as the presidential election, hardly anyone votes.

More information later.
