Greetings Baruch College,
I don’t believe there are security cameras on the 6th floor.
A few minutes after we were emailing about the computer room, a Baruch College security guard approached me.
I was sitting in the hallway on the 6th floor working on my laptop.
I think the building closes at 10 p.m.
The security guard walked up to me and said the building is closed, I have to leave.
I immediately turned on the audio recorder on my phone and said OK, I’ll leave right now.
Here is the strange part.
The security guard didn’t leave.
So, as I’m packing up my things, he’s standing there watching me.
Then I start walking down the steps, and he follows me into the stairwell.
I went back onto the main floor area and took an elevator down.
Maybe the building closes at 9 p.m., I don’t know.
I thought the buildings close at 10 p.m. during the week.
Also, I’m not sure why I was being escorted out of the building when the second the security guard asked me to leave, I said ok, and it was 9:15 PM.
I was minding my own business studying for the Spanish midterm.
I’ve dealt with situations like this hundreds of times, living in the street homeless.
It’s no big deal.
I just thought it was strange that the security guard wanted to escort me out for no reason.
He was saying something when I saw him again in the hallway.
I have no idea what, and I didn’t say anything.
Audio from the minute the security guard approached me until I was outside of the building attached.
I’m emailing the Help Desk now to find out what time the building closes for future reference.
Thank you and have a great day.
