I’m looking forward to learning about politics. I would like to be president of the United States one day, Governor of New York or Mayor of New York City.
Is the slack channel mandatory? Is there going to be information in there that isn’t anywhere else? Please advise.
Also, regarding zoom, if it’s OK with you I like to watch and listen but not speak. I have been homeless for about 5 years and I use the internet in the subway. There is a lot of people yelling and background noise and things like that. Also, I’m not big on video calls.
I’m a serious student. I have a 4.0 GPA after 27 credits. More importantly, I have a 100% attendance rate and I treat all CUNY staff with the utmost respect at all times. I love CUNY, it’s an amazing opportunity. It’s helping me in the real world.
I tend to keep to myself as much as possible at school. Especially regarding the students. I’m 44, I’m not really looking to socialize with the students. I prefer to network outside of school for business. I’m working on startups to pay for my political campaigns and next apartment.
One thing I would love to see one day is voting from our computers. I believe a company like Amazon, Google, Facebook, etc. could create a system that would allow people to vote from their computers, verify identity, etc.
Furthermore, people could be notified about future elections via email and become more involved in the political process. Independents who aren’t on the ballot could have a code to vote for them in the web-based system. I can also imagine people voting on issues, not just for politicians.
People can say there would be voter fraud. My answer to that is we bank online and that’s money.
Thank you and have a great day.
I love CUNY.
