CUNY EDGE is my bridge between The City Univerity of New York and The New York City Human Resources Administration / Department of Social Services (HRA/DSS).

YouTube video: CUNY EDGE at Hunter by Cesar Perez. Video from the Hunter College Journalism YouTube channel.

I started studying at least 5 to 10 hours a day for MAT 115. I have PDFs, downloaded the textbook, and subscribed to 3 different video tutors in addition to YouTube. I’m studying as if the final is in a week and the class doesn’t start for a month.

I want to have studied at least 200 hours for MAT 115 between now and when school starts in September. I contacted all my teachers and asked if I could buy the textbooks so I can read them during the break. One of my teachers in addition to math told me what textbook to buy and I rented a digital copy for less than $20.

I earned a 4.0 GPA with a 100% attendance after 27 credits. I’ll always have above a 3.0, hopefully, higher. One thing I know for sure is that I’m a 100% better student now than I was 12 or 6 months ago. I know how to stay ahead of the game and keep learning fun.

The key for me is to obtain the information for classes as early as possible and get moving on assignments the minute they are assigned or earlier. I’m getting help from the library, writing center, and several additional sources. I treat everyone with the utmost respect at all times and I can’t wait to see what doors open up for me when I have a college education.

I visited the Waverly Job Center last week and updated my information so they have my new mailing address. They might start paying my storage again which would be magnificent. I’m making the best of my situation and I have my eye on the future.

Please let me know if you require any further information from me.

Thank you and have a great day.

Ever upward,

Mark Pine

I love CUNY.
