New York City Opinion

I’m a law-abiding homeless person in New York City.

I was reading a few articles about how the New York City government is housing homeless people on the Upper West Side and people are complaining. This is one article I read about the situation in the New York Post.

I have been homeless for 5 years. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t party. I don’t have a criminal record. I’m a full-time college student. The reason I’m homeless is that I have bad credit and no money. I have seen a number of homeless people who have jobs during the short time I was in a homeless shelter in Queens.

I left the homeless shelter after a few days because people I know pay the FBI and NYPD to torture me. New York law enforcement had people harassing me the second I entered the shelter. They have people harassing me today on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and anywhere else I go.

This is an email I sent to one of the journalists of the above article.

Greetings,

There are a lot of law-abiding homeless people in the city who go to school and have jobs. I have been homeless for 5 years. I go to The City University of New York. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t have a criminal record. I graduated from Hewlett High School in 1994.

People I know from New York paid New York law enforcement to try and set me up. They had several teenage girls try and hook up with me. Furthermore, the FBI and NYPD had women and men drug me and try to pick fights with me. I didn’t fall for it so instead, they sabotaged my web marketing business and made me homeless.

I have seen a lot of law-abiding homeless people who have jobs, don’t drink, don’t do drugs, etc. They just have no money and bad credit. I understand the situation on the Upper West Side is what it is but in my humble opinion this makes it seem like every homeless person is out of control when the majority are not.

That’s all for now.

Thank you and have a great day.
